About Our Organization
Parkland Relief Outreach was established as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation in
1999.  Under the direction of Jonathon M. Bird, M.D. & Lisa Bird, Parkland Relief
Outreach provides humanitarian outreach to under-served and underdeveloped
countries.

In 1999 and 2000, following the devastation destruction of Hurricane Mitch, Parkland
Relief Outreach provided medical and dental services to over 2,500 people in rural
villages of Honduras.  Medical and disaster relief were provided to over 1,200 displaced
villagers injured and traumatized by the many earthquakes in El Salvador in 2001.
During the 2002 and 2003 trips, nearly 3,000 people were provided health care services
in rural Honduras.  PRO plans to eventually have a permanent health care facility and
mobile clinic in Honduras.  In the last two years, PRO has joined the mission team from
Kenya Medical Outreach and provided care to nearly 2,00 rural Kenyans.

Partnerships
Parkland Relief Outreach and Auyda International, a Honduras based not-for-profit
foundation, have formed a partnership to best meet the needs of the people we strive to
serve.  This has allowed for the construction of three schools.  Auyda International,
under the direction of George Robb, partners with Parkland Relief Outreach to provide
annual medical mission trips and community development programs.  This
collaboration has led to the implementation of a vitamin program and respiratory health
program in 2003.

Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send?  And who will go for
us?"  And I said, "Here am I. Send Me!" (NIV)
